Ain't it the Truth

It sure does seem this way to the general public. Thanks again Titlelist for this lovely reminder of how inept the U.S. government has really become.

Wayward Warren

I used to be a big fan of Warren Buffet and all that he has accomplished in life. I believed that he was a capitalist. By and far he is the best investor the world has ever seen, but I no longer am a fan, I am kinda ticked off at his political philandering. He is too buddy, buddy with President Obama for me liking. Any business man that gets this close to Washington means that we got a fox in the hen house. What does he have to gain by this? What about that crony capitalism huh, Obama?

Warren Buffet                                                 Jimmy Buffet

For those of you who do not know who Warren (Not Jimmy Buffet) is let me introduce you to him. Readers Warren is the fellow who formed Berkshire Hathaway Inc. a multi-billion dollar empire of diverse businesses through the use of capitalistic techniques. In his portfolio he has GEICO insurance, Forest River RV manufacturing,  Burlington Northern Santa Fe LLC and many other businesses which he acquired through capitalism not socialism. (Feel free to play the old Soviet Union national anthem here)

Now Captain Capilist the "Oracle of Omaha" is rubbing shoulders way too much with Obama. (The anticapitalist) Mr. Buffet complains about his tax rate being lower than what his secretary pays and that the wealthy should pay more.(Why, so the blockheads in Washington can spend more?) What I find interesting is why he didn't make these statements years ago. Why didn't he say this in the Reagan years, or when Clinton was the President. Oh, Mr. Buffet, you sir have strayed from your roots.

I would like to thank you Mr. Buffet because I think you helped me invent a new word today. The new word is Sapilist. I combined socialism + capitalism because I think that's what you believe now. (Notice the root word is sap) I am disappointed in you. Let's see if the next generation produces another Warren Buffet with the way we are headed toward the old Soviet style of government.

Well I have some advice for you Mr. Buffet if you don't believe you are being taxed enough then let the Federal government nationalize Berkshire Hathaway (You can be the Czar, Obama likes czars). Let's take all the profits that your company generates and give them to the poor. Would you be willing to do that big guy? (I hardly doubt it)

Below are three articles to check out. You the reader form your own opinion of Mr. Buffet. Above is mine and I am sticking to it, sorry Warren.

Roar, Roar

I gotta tell everyone I am tired of this politically correct nonsense in America. Now the students of a school in Utah can't have their school mascot named the Cougars. (A name they voted on by the way. That will teach them how Democracy works) because it may offend middle aged women. Give me a break!

To all the middle aged woman that have a younger man, good for you! It's about time. Men don't live as long as women. By the cougars getting the younger men maybe the couples can die at about the same time. Who wants to out live their mate? You older ladies should wear it like a badge of honor. (How about that you school board ding-a-lings) Ever hear of Cougartown?

So we don't offend anyone, how about we call the school mascot the the bricks or the clouds, I am sure no one has taken the name pencils. Now introducing the Draper Corner Canyon Fighting Pencils. (Now the people who make pens will be offended sorry, my bad)

The Fighting Pencils in marching formation.

When the school board allowed them to pick a new name (again) the students finally settled on the name the Chargers. (Well that offends me because I feel that Americans use their credit cards too much. I know that Chargers also mean knights, so maybe I don't like chivalry either) What makes me even angrier was the fact that the students voted to have their school mascot called the Cougars in the first place. By the way where are the parents that should be supporting their children and their rights?

See the article link for the whole story:

Sports teams have always had interesting names. Names that depict combative mascots or aggressive animals. Lions, Tigers, Spartans, Trojans, Indians, etc. Need I say more. I can't forget my favorite name the Wolverines.

By the way, the name Wolverines sure does offend Spartans. I hope U of M doesn't decide to change their name to appease Sparty. I like things just the way they are. We don't like you and you don't like us. See you next year Sparty in the Big House.

Leon, unless that offends someone then my name is Raymond because everyone loves Raymond

The New Old Couple

"If I am going to get my teeth knocked out, why not by Rocky?" I think Arnold can take him cause I am sure Arnold has killed far more people in his movies than Sly has.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone together again? They have both been approached to make a new movie called the "Tomb" Read more about this movie here: http://thewrap.com/deal-central/column-post/arnold-schwarzenegger-sylvester-stallone-might-re-team-tomb-34353

I personally would like Sly and Arnold to make a remake of the Odd Couple. I think it would be great. (Theme music please) A out of work and single governor meets an over the hill ex-champion boxer. One is from the streets of L.A. (The land of movie stars, sunshine, and Rodeo Drive) the other from the back alleys of Philly. (The home of cheese steak, blue collar Eagles fans, and the Liberty Bell)

Can you see the movie poster?

"Can these two find peace living together?" "So different yet so the same." Come see them both in hopefully their last roles as action heroes In  "The Old Couple" I mean the Tomb. All kidding aside I think both of them were great action heroes. Break a leg. Hopefully not one of your own.

NHL Realignment Done Right

<><><><><>
NHL Realignment

The NHL Board of Governor's approved a radical plan to realign the hockey world. (radical according to who, tennis fans?) They are planning on getting rid of the six division format and going back to the four division format of old. Boring! To see how they plan to realign the league click here:http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=604852

Below is my realignment plan that includes traveling from coast to coast for both conferences and having some of the original six teams of the league in the same divisions. I also divided the nation (Canada will be in the North, Rebels) in half so we can have a Civil "Hockey" War each year. I believe the hockey world deserves better than what has been proposed by the league.

Just like always I have to try and get a response from those in authority, so I e-mailed Commissioner Gary Bettman of the NHL to get his approval of my plan. If any of you readers like my plan please send a e-mail to the "Comish" and tell him to approve Leon's plan. Just click the link and fill in the blanks: http://www.nhl.com/ice/feedback.htm

Use the "feedback drop down box".

Viva Leon's Realignment

P.S. both logos below where brought to you by the same people who are devising the realignment plan. Do you see anything exciting about that?

Well I waited 48 hours to hear from the Comish and he didn't respond. My plan must have been too bold. So it's time for you the fans to put your two cents worth in. We are paying the bills folks so the product that we get is the one that we settle for.
